Leif Julin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaj Lindgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niclas Vidman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Kaj Lindgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Ingvar Kellberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alstermo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingvar Kellberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leif Julin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 22 played minutes Mad Bros got a freekick which was hit by Gert Ålberg. Kaj Lindgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Ingvar Kellberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alstermo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingvar Kellberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leif Julin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the game, Gert Ålberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mad Bros's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alstermo the free kick. In the 33rd minute, Gert Ålberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Kaj Lindgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Julin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Mad Bros's goal looked a bit too open when Kaj Lindgren came free, but Leif Julin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Alstermo's goal looked a bit too open when David Valler came free, but David Månsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Valler to make the kick off. If Kaj Lindgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Ingvar Kellberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. David Månsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Valler in the 57th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Alstermo's Ingvar Kellberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leif Julin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. David Månsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Valler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingvar Kellberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Julin having to interfere. Herbert Lindström kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Alstermo's Kaj Lindgren got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mad Bros's Leif Julin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Mad Bros from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Ingvar Kellberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Leif Julin however easily saved by the left post. If Otto Näver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
