The tension between the Kolbäck and the Åskloster players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kristoffer Ekelund hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Gunnar Ålberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Krister Hammarbäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gunnar Ålberg got free with Krister Hammarbäck in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kolbäck's Henry Albom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eskil Malmberg in the 16th minute of play. Rickard Lundström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Albom having to interfere. Rutger Lindström hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Eskil Malmberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Henry Albom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Åskloster's Krister Hammarbäck got control of the ball when Gunnar Ålberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karl Pettersson hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Gunnar Ålberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Krister Hammarbäck made a huge save. After having played for 37 minutes, Victor Svensson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kolbäck's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Svensson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 39 minutes of play, Kolbäck's Gunnar Ålberg made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Krister Hammarbäck was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Kolbäck booed when Åskloster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Pettersson didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rickard Lundström made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Eskil Malmberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Henry Albom. That made the score 1-2 in the 63 minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Kolbäck's Victor Svensson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Krister Hammarbäck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Krister Hammarbäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Svensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Eskil Malmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the game, Kolbäck's Victor Svensson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Krister Hammarbäck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 92nd minute, Eskil Malmberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 92 played minutes Kolbäck got a freekick which was hit by Rutger Lindström. Åskloster's Michael Kullgren was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Henry Albom in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
