Erling Nyqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Erling Nyqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Söderman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Patrick Söderman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erling Nyqvist was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Erling Nyqvist made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Kaj Snäll sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, Båstad BF's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Söderman came free, but Erling Nyqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Klövsjö's goal looked a bit too open when Eskil Majman came free, but Bengt-Åke Nordin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute of the match, Patrick Söderman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Erling Nyqvist saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Söderman in the 39th minute of play forced Båstad BF's goalkeeper Erling Nyqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Klövsjö's Patrick Söderman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erling Nyqvist. That made the score 2-0 after 40 minutes of play. Båstad BF's Emil Helander got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrick Söderman to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Eskil Majman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Åke Nordin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrick Söderman in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erling Nyqvist saved Båstad BF from getting behind. Erling Nyqvist came out of the goal and Patrick Söderman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrick Söderman charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrick Söderman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd minute, Patrick Söderman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
