Ingvar Berggren helped the player get up and apologised. Stig Wållander was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 22 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Inverterad YB fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! If Ove Hägglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Vilhelm Ek made the kick off in the second half. Ingvar Berggren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Stäppens IF's Börge Drewitz got a free kick in the 57th minute. Bernt Browall kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Sven-Ove Fastesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Berggren in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Inverterad YB's goal looked a bit too open when Vilhelm Ek came free, but Sven-Ove Fastesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Inverterad YB booed when Stäppens IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Börge Drewitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernt Browall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sven-Ove Fastesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Berggren, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Stäppens IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
