Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ingvar Svensson kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Vilhelm Ek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stäppens IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Vilhelm Ek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Asklund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 4 played minutes Stäppens IF got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Berggren. After 8th play minutes Vilhelm Ek shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Erik Asklund and just under the crossbar into goal. Stäppens IF's Matthias Benet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Svensson in the 11th minute of play. Matthias Benet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Svensson in the 13th minute of the match. Stäppens IF's Matthias Benet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Stenberg in the 15th minute of play. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Vilhelm Ek sped through Göta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Erik Asklund. 19 minutes into the match, Vilhelm Ek notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Göta's Erik Asklund. Erik Asklund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Vilhelm Ek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Stäppens IF getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Edward Tönnberg hit a great ball. If Vilhelm Ek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilhelm Ek took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erik Asklund. Erik Asklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After a rather tough play, Stäppens IF's Karl-Johan Petersson got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute Ingvar Berggren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Asklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl-Magnus Lönn kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Vilhelm Ek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stäppens IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vilhelm Ek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Stäppens IF were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vilhelm Ek was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Stäppens IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Tönnberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute Ingvar Svensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthias Benet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik Asklund was a little too slow when Bernt Browall got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-6. Erik Asklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Berggren in the 62nd minute of the match. Karl-Magnus Lönn hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Ingvar Svensson notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Stäppens IF's Matthias Benet. Matthias Benet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Göta getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Dan Dalman hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Stäppens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Anders Stenberg came free, but Matthias Benet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Stäppens IF's Torsten Bohlin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. Matthias Benet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Svensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matthias Benet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anders Stenberg went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-7 was the resulting score. Vilhelm Ek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Asklund having to interfere. Erik Asklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilhelm Ek in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Ingvar Svensson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matthias Benet was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-7. 92 minutes into the match, Göta's goalkeeper Erik Asklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torsten Bohlin. The Göta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Stäppens IF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
