To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan-Åke Klint recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute Einar Kihlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Lindell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Nono IF booed when Nordingrå BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Norberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nordingrå BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nono IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Nordingrå BF's Emil Helberg got a free kick in the 46th minute. When Albert Strömberg fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nono IF's protests and gave Albert Strömberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 48th match minute, Nono IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Strömberg to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 55th minute of the match Patric Holm sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oscar Wahlström skillfully saved the ball. Edward Stabbe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Wahlström having to interfere. In the 60thth minute of the game Einar Kihlberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nordingrå BF's Dan Lindell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 65 minutes, Einar Kihlberg made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. Nordingrå BF's Dan Lindell tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dan Lindell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Einar Kihlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nordingrå BF reached it.
