After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Karl Åberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. GOTHENBURG FOOTBALL CLUB's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Åberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Göran Eriksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfons Mårtensson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Mathias Löfgren when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 10th minute Leif Lindberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Löfgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl Åberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Göran Eriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bullyboys's Göran Eriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Stenström in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Bullyboys getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Roy Ekman hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Bullyboys's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Stenström came free, but Göran Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Hans Stenström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Göran Eriksson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 33 played minutes GOTHENBURG FOOTBALL CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Wall. Hans Stenström might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Göran Eriksson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hans Stenström ran back to his position shaking his head. Göran Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Åberg in the 37th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bullyboys's zone, Hans Stenström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Göran Eriksson came out of the goal and Hans Stenström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl Åberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Eriksson having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leif Lindberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Mathias Löfgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leif Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pontus Matsson during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pontus Matsson hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Urban Österberg kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Hans Stenström managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 73rd match minute, GOTHENBURG FOOTBALL CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertil Almqvist to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Bullyboys's Valentin Lind sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mathias Löfgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Alfons Mårtensson came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Bullyboys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfons Mårtensson couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the match, Bullyboys's goal looked a bit too open when Fritz Wennerlund came free, but Göran Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When GOTHENBURG FOOTBALL CLUB's Karl Åberg in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Karl Åberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Eriksson having to interfere.
