Arne Fribäck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leif Pihlblad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 played minutes Joachim Pihlgren rounded Röfors's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Leif Pihlblad scored 1-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arne Fribäck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Mulle IFK's Joachim Pihlgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hjalmar Hedbom narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 34 minutes into the game, Ludvig Västerstrand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Röfors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mulle IFK the free kick. After 34 played minutes Röfors got a freekick which was hit by Ludvig Västerstrand. 42 minutes into the match, Röfors's goal looked a bit too open when Joachim Pihlgren came free, but Hjalmar Hedbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joachim Pihlgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hjalmar Hedbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Pihlgren in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half Röfors were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joachim Pihlgren was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Röfors's Åke Ödmann got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 53 minutes of play, Mulle IFK's Leo Persson made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hjalmar Hedbom was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 59 in the game by Leif Pihlblad from a close distance when the talented Arne Fribäck managed to make a qualified save. Mulle IFK's players were relieved. The supporters of Röfors booed when Mulle IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Sjöö didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Röfors's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Persson came free, but Hjalmar Hedbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ingemar Rosendal fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Röfors's protests and gave Ingemar Rosendal a yellow card for diving instead. Ingemar Rosendal hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute of the match Leif Sjöö shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hjalmar Hedbom showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Arne Fribäck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leif Pihlblad in the 84th minute. Richard Tham hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leo Persson in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hjalmar Hedbom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
