Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Christoffer Blom started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Christoffer Blom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Billy Hellström was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. When Edvard Frisck fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Väret's protests and gave Edvard Frisck a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Åkarp's Calle Johnsson got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Pontus Ahlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olof Qvarnström's late challenge caught a Åkarp's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olof Qvarnström helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Åkarp booed when FC Väret was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olof Qvarnström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roland Valler made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Niklas Snell sent off a good shot on target. Roland Valler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pontus Ahlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 minutes, Olof Kaxe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åkarp and the FC Väret players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Åkarp's Olof Kaxe got a free kick in the 36th minute. The audience was convinced that Pontus Ahlin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roland Valler was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Örjan Spets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Hellström having to interfere. Christoffer Blom scored 0-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Billy Hellström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pontus Ahlin made a kick off. Edvard Frisck got his second yellow card in the match during the 52nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 53 played minutes FC Väret got a freekick which was hit by Edvard Frisck. Pontus Ahlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Niklas Snell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pontus Ahlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Åkarp's Göran Palmkvist got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute Pontus Ahlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Valler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Åkarp booed when FC Väret was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesper Biörkman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niklas Snell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Roland Valler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt-Rune Bäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Snell in the 90th minute of play forced FC Väret's goalkeeper Roland Valler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Christoffer Blom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute Niklas Snell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Valler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Although Åkarp had been in control for most of the match, FC Väret still came away with the win.
