Spectators: 7371 (Terracing: 5529, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 147) Måns Åkesson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 9 minutes, Ingvar Alebäck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sälen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingvar Alebäck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Sälen's Ingvar Alebäck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl-Ove Lenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 19 played minutes Sälen got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Alebäck. In the 20th minute, Holger Thedin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Charlie Falk, passed just outside the right post. Karl-Ove Lenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Alebäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute of the match Tony Åkerberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karl-Ove Lenberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Måns Åkesson, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 28 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Karl-Ove Lenberg was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Måns Åkesson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ingvar Alebäck in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Ove Lenberg saved Nykvarn BF from getting behind. A collision led to Nykvarn BF getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Alvin Walroth hit a great ball. Ingvar Alebäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Nykvarn BF's zone, Måns Åkesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Ove Lenberg came out of the goal and Måns Åkesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ingvar Alebäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Ove Lenberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Måns Åkesson's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Rudolf Ståhlman lost his temper 44 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 43 minutes into the game, one of Nykvarn BF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

In the 55th minute, Nykvarn BF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Måns Åkesson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ingvar Alebäck got free with Karl-Ove Lenberg in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Nykvarn BF booed when Sälen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Måns Åkesson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ingvar Alebäck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Ove Lenberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Nykvarn BF's goalkeeper Karl-Ove Lenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ingvar Alebäck. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Måns Åkesson in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Ove Lenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Karl-Ove Lenberg stood somewhat misplaced when Måns Åkesson came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 70 minute. A hard shot by Stig-Ove Björklund from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Karl-Ove Lenberg's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Ingvar Alebäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Ove Lenberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ingvar Alebäck in the 81st minute. Måns Åkesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Ove Lenberg having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Alvin Walroth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
