Göran Tingelholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Måns Åkesson, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 7 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Göran Tingelholm was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Måns Åkesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th match minute, Sälen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernt Arenstedt to maneuver through the defense. Ingvar Alebäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Tingelholm having to interfere. When Morgan Thorsberg fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Korskrogen's protests and gave Morgan Thorsberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, Korskrogen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morgan Thorsberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Måns Åkesson made a precise shot to the right of Göran Tingelholm. Korskrogen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Göran Tingelholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Alebäck, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When Ingvar Alebäck came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Sälen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingvar Alebäck couldn't finish the play. Ingvar Alebäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Tingelholm having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Måns Åkesson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Göran Tingelholm. Korskrogen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Måns Åkesson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niklas Hedlund made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Måns Åkesson in the 58th minute of play forced Korskrogen's goalkeeper Göran Tingelholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Måns Åkesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Tingelholm having to interfere. After having played for 62 minutes, Ingvar Alebäck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sälen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingvar Alebäck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sälen's Måns Åkesson got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Korskrogen's goalkeeper Göran Tingelholm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ingvar Alebäck. After 67 minutes Korskrogen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stig-Ove Björklund who took care of the corner kick. Sälen's Stig-Ove Björklund was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Göran Tingelholm in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sälen's Charlie Falk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Hedlund in the 70th minute of play. If Aaron Rudberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Göran Tingelholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Måns Åkesson in the 82nd minute of the match. A collision led to Korskrogen getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Morgan Thorsberg hit a great ball. In the 90th minute of the match, Måns Åkesson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Göran Tingelholm saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Måns Åkesson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Göran Tingelholm was a little too slow when Ingvar Alebäck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 0-4. Sälen's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
