Spectators: 7243 (Terracing: 5433, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Håkan Åkesson started the match with the kick off. After having played for 7 minutes, Håkan Åkesson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gudhem RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Håkan Åkesson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walter Tidéksson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Håkan Åkesson's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Walter Tidéksson came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Gudhem RK's Bengt-Åke Pettersson. But to his dismay, Bengt-Åke Pettersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Karl Fribäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Johnny Lundblad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Leif Aronsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th match minute, Ervalla BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Johan Vesterberg to maneuver through the defense. Karl Linqvist shot from long distance in the 25th minute, but Walter Tidéksson was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Bengt-Åke Pettersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Håkan Åkesson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Walter Tidéksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Håkan Åkesson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leif Aronsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Johnny Lundblad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dick Axelsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Bengt-Åke Pettersson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walter Tidéksson having to make a save. If Karl Fribäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Karl Fribäck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Johnny Lundblad made a huge save. Håkan Åkesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Tidéksson having to interfere. Johnny Lundblad was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Håkan Åkesson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walter Tidéksson having to make a save. Bengt-Åke Pettersson struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Walter Tidéksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gudhem RK. After having played for 96 minutes, Håkan Åkesson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gudhem RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Håkan Åkesson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Gudhem RK were the better team. Gudhem RK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
