Bengt-Arne Koch made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Karl Fribäck sent off a good shot on target. 7 minutes in the game, Dick Axelsson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bengt-Arne Koch having to interfere. When Dick Axelsson came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Ervalla BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dick Axelsson couldn't finish the play. Karl Fribäck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Bengt-Arne Koch made a huge save. Dick Axelsson struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Bengt-Arne Koch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ervalla BK. In the 19th minute, Karl Fribäck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 24 minutes of play, Ervalla BK's Karl-Johan Vesterberg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt-Arne Koch was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the match, Bergby RK's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Koch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl Fribäck. Karl Fribäck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Axelsson in the 39th minute of play forced Bergby RK's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Koch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Karl-Johan Vesterberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Arne Koch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dick Axelsson to strike the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes, Algot Alebom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bergby RK and the Ervalla BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Algot Alebom kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Bengt-Arne Koch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Fribäck, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute Dick Axelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Arne Koch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Folke Käller fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bergby RK's protests and gave Folke Käller a yellow card for diving instead. Folke Käller hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Karl Fribäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Bergby RK's zone, Dick Axelsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt-Arne Koch came out of the goal and Dick Axelsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute, Folke Käller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl Fribäck in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt-Arne Koch saved Bergby RK from getting behind. In the 77th minute, Dick Axelsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ervalla BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Bengt-Arne Koch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dick Axelsson in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Axelsson in the 83rd minute of play forced Bergby RK's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Koch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dick Axelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 88 minutes, Dick Axelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ervalla BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dick Axelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Bergby RK's goal looked a bit too open when Dick Axelsson came free, but Bengt-Arne Koch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Ervalla BK were the better team. Ervalla BK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
