The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Åsunda IF's Joachim Engström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claes Jonasson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Christoffer Olofsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Jonasson having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Åsunda IF's Christoffer Olofsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in SSC Partenopei's zone, Christoffer Olofsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claes Jonasson came out of the goal and Christoffer Olofsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joachim Engström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Jonasson having to interfere. If Christoffer Olofsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joachim Engström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claes Jonasson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. But to his dismay, Joachim Engström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. SSC Partenopei's Claes Jonasson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save SSC Partenopei from getting a goal against them. Åsunda IF's Christoffer Olofsson got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Joachim Engström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute Christoffer Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Jonasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joachim Engström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoffer Olofsson in the 63rd minute of play forced SSC Partenopei's goalkeeper Claes Jonasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, SSC Partenopei's goal looked a bit too open when Joachim Engström came free, but Claes Jonasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 played minutes SSC Partenopei got a freekick which was hit by Pontus Martinsson. When Åsunda IF's Joachim Engström in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SSC Partenopei's goalie prevented a goal. Claes Jonasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Engström in the 88th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes SSC Partenopei got a freekick which was hit by Folke Tholsson. Christoffer Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christoffer Olofsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Claes Jonasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Åsunda IF's Christoffer Olofsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claes Jonasson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. There was no doubt that Åsunda IF were the better team. Åsunda IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
