Elliott Rosendahl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rudolf Salqvist went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Folke Tholsson came free in the 25th minute and tried to tip the ball over Elliott Rosendahl, but to the joy of Marängerna's supporters the ball went over. Reine Sikström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claes Jonasson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of SSC Partenopei booed when Marängerna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Dalström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evert Norberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A wasted opportunity for Marängerna. 56 minutes into the game, Folke Tholsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elliott Rosendahl. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Ingvar Dalström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marängerna's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingvar Dalström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claes Jonasson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind SSC Partenopei's goalkeeper Claes Jonasson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76th match minute, Marängerna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingvar Dalström to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match, Folke Tholsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Elliott Rosendahl saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 81st play minute Folke Tholsson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Elliott Rosendahl. 0-3. Claes Jonasson came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Marängerna's Evert Norberg. But to his dismay, Evert Norberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. If Evert Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Norberg in the 89th minute of play forced SSC Partenopei's goalkeeper Claes Jonasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marängerna's Reine Sikström got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Marängerna supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SSC Partenopei's performance. The match ended with a win for SSC Partenopei.
