Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Svante Hellqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Philip Jakobsson was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. 23 minutes into the match, Anders Nordin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Philip Jakobsson. Stugun's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anders Nordin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Byske IFK's Svante Hellqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Stugun's zone, Svante Hellqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Jakobsson came out of the goal and Svante Hellqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven-Åke Nordal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sven-Åke Nordal struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Pontus Ambjörnsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stugun. After a defensive mix-up in Byske IFK's zone, Sven-Åke Nordal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pontus Ambjörnsson came out of the goal and Sven-Åke Nordal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henry Melin got free with Pontus Ambjörnsson in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Svante Hellqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Jakobsson having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven-Åke Nordal was the one to do the kick off. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Byske IFK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
