To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 12 minutes into the game, Kennet Dalman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. United F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hamza FF the free kick. A collision led to United F.C getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Kennet Dalman hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Sven-Edvin Carlsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamza FF's goalkeeper Mikael Lindholm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Walter Kalfhage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Frans Möllgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. United F.C's Sune Albohm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Göransson in the 23rd minute of play. Olle Wennerquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sune Albohm made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olle Wennerquist in the 31st minute. Gilbert Göransson succeeded in the game's 35th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. In the 38th minute Gilbert Göransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sune Albohm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Walter Kalfhage got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sune Albohm made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Olle Wennerquist sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilbert Göransson was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Olle Wennerquist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sune Albohm. United F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olle Wennerquist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. United F.C's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 62nd minute of the game, when Kennet Dalman after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Hamza FF's goal. Kennet Dalman was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Alf Söderlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Lindholm having to interfere. Sune Albohm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olle Wennerquist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th match minute, United F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Kalfhage to maneuver through the defense. Walter Kalfhage hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Johannes Stephansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilbert Göransson hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The supporters of Hamza FF booed when United F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johannes Stephansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute Håkan Henriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sune Albohm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sune Albohm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Göransson in the 91st minute of the match. Olle Wennerquist might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sune Albohm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olle Wennerquist ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew the final whistle, Hamza FF could leave the field as winners, despite United F.C having more of the ball for most of the match.
