The ball went over the crossbar instead. 27 minutes into the match, Alfta's Carl Björklund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inge Brogren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Carl Björklund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Inge Brogren. FC Fantasya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carl Björklund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Patrik Lång struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Hannes Heggert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Fantasya. 39 minutes into the match, Alfta's goal looked a bit too open when Vilgot Ekblom came free, but Hannes Heggert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Fantasya's Vilgot Ekblom slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hannes Heggert. That made the score 1-1 after 47 minutes of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carl Björklund made a kick off. Vilgot Ekblom struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Hannes Heggert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Fantasya. After having played for 67 minutes, Patrik Hamberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alfta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrik Hamberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hannes Heggert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrik Lång went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rune Täman during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Alfta getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rune Täman hit a great ball. Vilgot Ekblom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hannes Heggert having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Fantasya fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alfta had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
