When Klas Sundström fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kiruna RK's protests and gave Klas Sundström a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Kiruna RK getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Klas Sundström hit a great ball. Sven-Oskar Norberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliot Allbom in the 11th minute of play forced Kiruna RK's goalkeeper Kurt Falkrans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Kiruna RK booed when Grytgöl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Nilsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 played minutes, Kiruna RK's Bengt-Åke Paulin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fred Lindholm came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kiruna RK reached it. If Henry Gregersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 26 minutes into the match, Grytgöl's goalkeeper Fred Lindholm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henry Gregersson. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kiruna RK's goalkeeper Kurt Falkrans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kurt Falkrans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Oskar Norberg in the 31st minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, one of Grytgöl:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bengt-Åke Paulin shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Bengt Berggren's late challenge caught a Kiruna RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bengt Berggren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Bengt Berggren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

A hard shot 53 in the game by Elliot Allbom from a close distance when the talented Kurt Falkrans managed to make a qualified save. Kiruna RK's players were relieved. After 59 minutes, Tony Stensson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grytgöl and the Kiruna RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Kiruna RK a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bengt-Åke Paulin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Grytgöl's Fred Lindholm. 2-0. Sven-Oskar Norberg struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Kurt Falkrans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grytgöl. Sven-Oskar Norberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Kurt Falkrans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Lindholm stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Gregersson's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Fred Lindholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Gregersson in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Kiruna RK booed when Grytgöl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Berggren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grytgöl's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience was convinced that Sven-Oskar Norberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kurt Falkrans was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Fred Lindholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Björkdal, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Sven-Oskar Norberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kurt Falkrans came out and tried to block the shot, but Sven-Oskar Norberg slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 90th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Oskar Norberg in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kurt Falkrans saved Kiruna RK from getting behind. Henry Gregersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
