Finspångs HK's Gottfrid Hägg got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Petter Hultstrand's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Johan Blomquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Petter Hultstrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Karl-Johan Blomquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Petter Hultstrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Johan Blomquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Finspångs HK's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Blomquist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ove Kollberg charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ove Kollberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ove Kollberg kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gottfrid Hägg in the 23rd minute of play forced Tärnaby's goalkeeper Sven-Arne Lindström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hjalmar Stenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mattias Söderberg scored 1-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sven-Arne Lindström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Evert Emander kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Finspångs HK's Karl-Johan Blomquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petter Hultstrand in the 45th minute of play. A hard shot 47 in the game by Mattias Söderberg from a close distance when the talented Sven-Arne Lindström managed to make a qualified save. Tärnaby's players were relieved. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gottfrid Hägg made the kick off in the second half. Tärnaby's Sven-Arne Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Söderberg in the 51st minute of play. Mattias Söderberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Sven-Arne Lindström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl-Johan Blomquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hjalmar Stenberg in the 59th minute of the match. If Petter Hultstrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Finspångs HK's Hubert Kullander got a free kick in the 61st minute. Petter Hultstrand struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Karl-Johan Blomquist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tärnaby. Sven-Arne Lindström came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Finspångs HK's Mattias Söderberg. But to his dismay, Mattias Söderberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Gottfrid Hägg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sven-Arne Lindström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Söderberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Sven-Arne Lindström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gottfrid Hägg in the 76th minute of play. Karl-Johan Blomquist made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Petter Hultstrand sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute Tärnaby were awarded a corner. Esbjörn Alberg went to the cornerflag to take it. Petter Hultstrand was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. Tärnaby's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Hubert Kullander fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Finspångs HK's protests and gave Hubert Kullander a yellow card for diving instead. Hubert Kullander hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Tärnaby's Hjalmar Stenberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl-Johan Blomquist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Finspångs HK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Tärnaby for a fine match.
