With a left leg Tim Rudkvist saved Ekeby IFK from getting behind. In the 13th minute, Ted Sander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ekeby IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 16th minute, George Sigfridsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tim Rudkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Harry Bjurström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Rudkvist having to interfere. Tim Rudkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Sigfridsson's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Harry Bjurström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Tim Rudkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Ekeby IFK's goal looked a bit too open when George Sigfridsson came free, but Tim Rudkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. George Sigfridsson was the one to do the kick off. George Sigfridsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tim Rudkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harry Bjurström in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes Ekeby IFK got a freekick which was hit by Esbjörn Vestlund. George Sigfridsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 61 minutes, Richard Åman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ekeby IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Åman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ekeby IFK! The goalkeeper, Tim Rudkvist, was totally fooled by Obbola BF's Ragnar Enegren, who 73 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Harry Bjurström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, George Sigfridsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Obbola BF's supporters rose to their feet, but George Sigfridsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tim Rudkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Obbola BF's Mattias Abelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Åman in the 82nd minute of play. Leonardo Glanselius hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Harry Bjurström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Obbola BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Bjurström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tim Rudkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute George Sigfridsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Rudkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, George Sigfridsson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tim Rudkvist, passed just outside the right post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Obbola BF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
