Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) VSK SK's Orvar Backlund started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Obbola BF's zone, Per-Åke Borre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Abelsson came out of the goal and Per-Åke Borre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 8 minutes of play, Obbola BF's Harry Bjurström made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kennet Bure was left in no man's land by his defense there! If George Sigfridsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, VSK SK's Kennet Bure got control of the ball when Harry Bjurström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Harry Bjurström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kennet Bure having to interfere. Harry Bjurström struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Kennet Bure didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Obbola BF. George Sigfridsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, George Sigfridsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Linus Bengtsson struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Kennet Bure didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Obbola BF. Harry Bjurström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell George Sigfridsson to make the kick off. Mattias Abelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per-Åke Borre in the 55th minute. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind VSK SK's goalkeeper Kennet Bure, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Linus Bengtsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kennet Bure having to interfere. Kennet Bure took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Bjurström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. George Sigfridsson got in the 65th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Kennet Bure handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Orvar Backlund's late challenge caught a Obbola BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orvar Backlund helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to VSK SK getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Orvar Backlund hit a great ball. In the 67th minute George Sigfridsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kennet Bure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Orvar Backlund fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mattias Abelsson, passed just outside the right post. Obbola BF's Mattias Abelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orvar Backlund in the 81st minute of play. After having played for 84 minutes, George Sigfridsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Obbola BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Sigfridsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orvar Backlund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Mattias Abelsson made a huge save. If Per-Åke Borre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
