Spectators: 7267 (Terracing: 5452, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 144) An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Offendahl in the 8th minute of play forced Ekeby IFK's goalkeeper Tim Rudkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 12 minutes, Jonathan Offendahl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fnatic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Offendahl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tim Rudkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aron Ekeberg in the 15th minute. When Aron Ekeberg came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Fnatic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aron Ekeberg couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Olof Fredriksson during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ekeby IFK booed when Fnatic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Olof Fredriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aron Ekeberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tim Rudkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Jonathan Offendahl lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Tim Rudkvist. Aron Ekeberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tim Rudkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Offendahl in the 33rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Ekeby IFK defense, Aron Ekeberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tim Rudkvist. The Ekeby IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tim Rudkvist should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute, Rolf Wallman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Richard Åman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Richard Åman was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Aron Ekeberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Rudkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Aron Ekeberg came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Fnatic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aron Ekeberg couldn't finish the play. Richard Åman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ulrik Bennet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aron Ekeberg took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tim Rudkvist. Tim Rudkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 75 minutes into the match, Ted Sander notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Fnatic's Ulrik Bennet. Ulrik Bennet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dan Bergman's late challenge caught a Fnatic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dan Bergman helped the player get up and apologised. After 90 played minutes Ekeby IFK got a freekick which was hit by Dan Bergman. Tim Rudkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Offendahl's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. When Dan Bergman was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. Aron Ekeberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ekeby IFK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fnatic.
