If Jonathan Offendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erik Skräddare in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kennet Bure prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, VSK SK's Fredrik Martinsson got a free kick in the 13th minute. A collision led to VSK SK getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Rikard Lindholm hit a great ball. Rolf Wallman, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Fnatic's Ulrik Bennet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Åke Borre in the 33rd minute of play. Kennet Bure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Offendahl, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Ulrik Bennet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orvar Backlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Åke Borre in the 41st minute of play forced Fnatic's goalkeeper Ulrik Bennet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Olof Fredriksson's late challenge caught a VSK SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Olof Fredriksson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st minute, Sven-Olof Fredriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulrik Bennet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Åke Borre in the 43rd minute of play. After 46 played minutes Fnatic got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Olof Fredriksson. 48 minutes into the match, Fnatic's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Åke Borre came free, but Ulrik Bennet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Aron Ekeberg made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anders Åman during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anders Åman hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the match, Fnatic's Erik Skräddare sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kennet Bure narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aron Ekeberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kennet Bure having to interfere. In the 61st match minute, VSK SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaj Strömberg to maneuver through the defense. When Orvar Backlund came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the VSK SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orvar Backlund couldn't finish the play. Fnatic's Ulrik Bennet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Fnatic from getting a goal against them. After 80 minutes of play, VSK SK's Per-Åke Borre made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulrik Bennet was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Aron Ekeberg came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Fnatic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aron Ekeberg couldn't finish the play. Kennet Bure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aron Ekeberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Orvar Backlund might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulrik Bennet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orvar Backlund ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orvar Backlund in the 96th minute of play forced Fnatic's goalkeeper Ulrik Bennet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
