The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karl-Michael Rydberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Albert Petersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lars-Erik Hedvall hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Claes Vik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ove Linquist in the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Linquist in the 11th minute of play forced Brynäs IF's goalkeeper Claes Vik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Ove Linquist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Turkiyemspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ove Linquist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claes Vik came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Turkiyemspor's Andy Billvall. But to his dismay, Andy Billvall quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute Karl-Michael Rydberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Petersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Åke Kjellkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brynäs IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Åke Kjellkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Turkiyemspor's Albert Petersson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Turkiyemspor from getting a goal against them. Åke Kjellkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Åke Kjellkvist came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Brynäs IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Åke Kjellkvist couldn't finish the play. Claes Vik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Billvall in the 44th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brynäs IF's zone, Ove Linquist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claes Vik came out of the goal and Ove Linquist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the game, Paul Dahlgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brynäs IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Turkiyemspor the free kick. In the 47th match minute, Brynäs IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Dahlgren to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl-Michael Rydberg was the one to do the kick off. Brynäs IF's Claes Vik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Brynäs IF from getting a goal against them. Elliot Bogren scored 0-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claes Vik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Turkiyemspor defense, Åke Kjellkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albert Petersson. The Turkiyemspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albert Petersson should have stopped the shot. Karl-Michael Rydberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Albert Petersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 90 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Brynäs IF's Karl-Michael Rydberg fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Albert Petersson came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Brynäs IF's Åke Kjellkvist. But to his dismay, Åke Kjellkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After a rather tough play, Brynäs IF's Emanuel Elg got a free kick in the 96th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
