Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Michael Rydberg in the 5th minute of play forced Kryddarnas IF's goalkeeper Jonathan Hamnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Karl-Erik Hake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 7 played minutes Brynäs IF got a freekick which was hit by Åke Kjellkvist. Joacim Odén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 minutes, Emanuel Elg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brynäs IF and the Kryddarnas IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kryddarnas IF booed when Brynäs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Elg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kryddarnas IF's Jonathan Hamnberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Kjellkvist in the 26th minute of play. Åke Kjellkvist got in the 27th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jonathan Hamnberg handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Brynäs IF's Claes Vik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Erik Hake in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Kryddarnas IF booed when Brynäs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustav Pettersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Joacim Odén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Bernt Wennerquist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kryddarnas IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernt Wennerquist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claes Vik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claes Vik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernt Wennerquist in the 38th minute. After 41 played minutes Kryddarnas IF got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Molin. Jonathan Hamnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Kjellkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl-Erik Hake to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Joacim Odén notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Brynäs IF's Claes Vik. Claes Vik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 59 played minutes Brynäs IF got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Michael Rydberg. After a rather tough play, Kryddarnas IF's Roger Sundström got a free kick in the 60th minute. Karl-Michael Rydberg struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Jonathan Hamnberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brynäs IF. Joacim Odén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Claes Vik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 81 minutes, Karl-Michael Rydberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brynäs IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Michael Rydberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karl-Erik Hake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Claes Vik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kryddarnas IF had played much better football throughout.
