The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, bk kings's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Åkerberg came free, but Kåre Göransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gottfrid Hermansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sonny Österlund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Håkan Åkerberg kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Anton Isaksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kåre Göransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lyrestad's Anton Isaksson got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Lyrestad were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gottfrid Hermansson to make the kick off. Kåre Göransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Isaksson in the 54th minute of the match. Kåre Göransson came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Lyrestad's Håkan Åkerberg. But to his dismay, Håkan Åkerberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The audience was convinced that Joel Gallberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sonny Österlund was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. If Anton Isaksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anton Isaksson in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Thanks to some nice moves Håkan Åkerberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Kåre Göransson however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in bk kings's zone, Anton Isaksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kåre Göransson came out of the goal and Anton Isaksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to bk kings getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Karl Grönberg hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Lyrestad's Elof Strandberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 87th minute, Fredrik Lindberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kåre Göransson made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Håkan Åkerberg sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute Anton Isaksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kåre Göransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl Grönberg's late challenge caught a Lyrestad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
