In the 8th match minute, Big Tigers FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Arne Vesterberg to maneuver through the defense. Bengt Kruuse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Michael Lindgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bengt Torstensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Hjortberg having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Dala-Barca's Bengt Kruuse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustaf Hjortberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sakarias Wall might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patrik Rydberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sakarias Wall ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustaf Hjortberg made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Bengt Torstensson sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes into the match, Big Tigers FF's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Kruuse came free, but Gustaf Hjortberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sakarias Wall was the one to do the kick off. Patrik Rydberg acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 61st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ingvar Hegg. Patrik Rydberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sakarias Wall, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 67th minute, Andréas Uggla fired a really elegant long shot, but Patrik Rydberg threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. The supporters of Dala-Barca booed when Big Tigers FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Lindgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaf Hjortberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt Torstensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Kjellberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Rydberg having to interfere. Big Tigers FF's Gustaf Hjortberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Kruuse in the 99th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Dala-Barca failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
