The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joakim Duset in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustaf Hjortberg saved Big Tigers FF from getting behind. Joakim Duset fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Hjortberg having to interfere. Big Tigers FF's Gustaf Hjortberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Duset in the 13th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Big Tigers FF got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Arne Vesterberg. Gustaf Hjortberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan-Ove Sjödin in the 21st minute. A hard shot 22 in the game by Jan-Ove Sjödin from a close distance when the talented Gustaf Hjortberg managed to make a qualified save. The Månsarp IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matthias Kullander should have stopped the shot. Sakarias Wall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Matthias Kullander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matthias Kullander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sakarias Wall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Sakarias Wall's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matthias Kullander was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. In the 86th match minute, Big Tigers FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sakarias Wall to maneuver through the defense.
