Rögle BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Sandström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elliot Lidström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilgot Billström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Rögle BK booed when Karlholmsbruk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Myhr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustav Kullgren made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when John Bergkvist sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Karlholmsbruk getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Michel Gerdberg hit a great ball. John Bergkvist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Gustav Kullgren when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Karlholmsbruk's goalkeeper couldn't reach when John Bergkvist 19 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 24 minutes into the match, Rögle BK's goal looked a bit too open when Rasmus Granberg came free, but Elliot Lidström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustav Kullgren didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 25th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. John Bergkvists short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Gustav Kullgren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Robert Sandström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Gustav Kullgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Karlholmsbruk:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rögle BK:s goal. If John Bergkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elliot Lidström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilgot Billström, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. George Frisk's late challenge caught a Rögle BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. George Frisk helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st minute, George Frisk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 48 minutes into the match, Rögle BK's goal looked a bit too open when Vilgot Billström came free, but Elliot Lidström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Vilgot Billström made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Niklas Jonasson mouthed his way into the referee's book. After 74 minutes, John Bergkvist made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Karlholmsbruk's Gustav Kullgren tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rögle BK's Robert Sandström got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 82 minutes, Michel Gerdberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karlholmsbruk and the Rögle BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 82 played minutes Karlholmsbruk got a freekick which was hit by Michel Gerdberg. Elliot Lidström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilgot Billström in the 85th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Alfons Andreasson made a precise shot to the right of Gustav Kullgren. Karlholmsbruk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Christer Myhr made in the 94th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which George Frisk however managed to control. In the 95th minute, Rasmus Granberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karlholmsbruk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Rögle BK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
