If John Bergkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Georg Gråberg kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Olof Svensson struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Elliot Lidström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Futbol kulübü Celep. 30 minutes into the match, Futbol kulübü Celep's goalkeeper Erling Haraldsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustav Pihlblad. In the 32nd minute, Jens Utter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee ignored Rögle BK's protests and gave Gustav Pihlblad a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Rögle BK's Gustav Pihlblad got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Olof Svensson kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell John Bergkvist to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, John Bergkvist notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Futbol kulübü Celep's Erling Haraldsson. The referee ignored Rögle BK's protests and gave Gilbert Brummer a yellow card for diving instead. When Alfons Andreasson came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Rögle BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfons Andreasson couldn't finish the play. Elliot Lidström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jens Utter in the 68th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jens Utter got free with Elliot Lidström in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gustav Pihlblad came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Rögle BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustav Pihlblad couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the game, John Bergkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rögle BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Futbol kulübü Celep the free kick. Erling Haraldsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. John Bergkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rögle BK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
