Conny Bållström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Melander in the 14th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Calle Bergqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. tjurarna's supporters rose to their feet, but Calle Bergqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conny Bållström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bo Cane hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Per-Erik Vacker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mats Nordstedt in the 21st minute of the match. Martin Rudkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Erik Vacker having to interfere. 27 minutes into the game, Tjongapojkarna IF's Mats Nordstedt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Per-Erik Vacker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Axel Söderberg kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st play minute Calle Bergqvist came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Conny Bållström. 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oscar Melander in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Conny Bållström saved Tjongapojkarna IF from getting behind. Tjongapojkarna IF's Conny Bållström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Tjongapojkarna IF from getting a goal against them. Calle Bergqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Conny Bållström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calle Bergqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conny Bållström having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Martin Rudkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Calle Bergqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Conny Bållström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Oscar Melander came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the tjurarna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Melander couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fredrik Mattsson was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Tjongapojkarna IF's Gilbert Dalkvist got a free kick in the 57th minute. When Martin Rudkvist fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tjongapojkarna IF's protests and gave Martin Rudkvist a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Martin Rudkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, tjurarna's Kjell Lund tried to score from far away in the 63rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 65th match minute, Tjongapojkarna IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredrik Mattsson to maneuver through the defense. Conny Bållström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Melander, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Calle Bergqvist in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conny Bållström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 73 minutes of play Tjongapojkarna IF's Axel Söderberg was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of tjurarna booed when Tjongapojkarna IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Söderberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calle Bergqvist in the 75th minute of play forced Tjongapojkarna IF's goalkeeper Conny Bållström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calle Bergqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. tjurarna's Calle Bergqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, tjurarna's Per-Erik Vacker got control of the ball when Mats Nordstedt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Calle Bergqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Oscar Melander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Conny Bållström was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Oscar Melander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conny Bållström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tjongapojkarna IF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for tjurarna.
