The goalkeeper, Viktor Gallin, was totally fooled by Västantorps IF's Emil Lundström, who 30 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edvard Esbjörnsson during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Västantorps IF booed when Strömsbruk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvard Esbjörnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 52 minutes into the match, Strömsbruk's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Holm came free, but Viktor Gallin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Västantorps IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strömsbruk the free kick. After 69 played minutes, Västantorps IF's Folke Myr shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Viktor Gallin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Västantorps IF reached it. If Carl Jonsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Tony Holm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västantorps IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Holm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viktor Gallin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
