The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Lesjöfors RK's Gunnar Godholm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erling Norström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gunnar Godholm blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erling Norström having to make a save. Viktor Alebom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Herman Göransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 minutes, Sivert Simonsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lesjöfors RK and the Oviken BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Lesjöfors RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sivert Simonsson to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Lesjöfors RK's zone, Sven-Ove Hammarström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herman Göransson came out of the goal and Sven-Ove Hammarström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aaron Granström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erling Norström having to interfere. Erling Norström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnar Godholm in the 18th minute of the match. Aaron Granström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th match minute, Lesjöfors RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sivert Simonsson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 28 minutes, Sven-Ove Hammarström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oviken BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Ove Hammarström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herman Göransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Alebom in the 32nd minute of the match. If Aaron Granström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viktor Alebom made a kick off. When Joseph Fernkvist fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lesjöfors RK's protests and gave Joseph Fernkvist a yellow card for diving instead. After 50 played minutes Lesjöfors RK got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Fernkvist. The crowd rose to their feet as Lesjöfors RK's Aaron Granström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erling Norström. That made the score 1-1 after 56 minutes of play. The supporters of Oviken BF booed when Lesjöfors RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Fernkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute Joseph Fernkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erling Norström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gunnar Godholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Sven-Ove Hammarström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herman Göransson was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Erling Norström came out of the goal and Aaron Granström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Oviken BF's Viktor Alebom in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lesjöfors RK's goalie prevented a goal. Lesjöfors RK's Herman Göransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Alebom in the 80th minute of play. Viktor Alebom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oviken BF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
