A collision led to Charlies IF getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Kurt Skog hit a great ball. Torgny Pååk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Bergren having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Andreas Valström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludvig Blomberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, John Magnusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manfred Larsson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Patrick Söderman's late challenge caught a Stugun IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Söderman helped the player get up and apologised. Håkan Bergren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Ahlbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andreas Valström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Stugun IF got a freekick which was hit by Sten Lindblom. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Kaj Nordström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Charlies IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaj Nordström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ludvig Blomberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Kaj Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kaj Nordström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ludvig Blomberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaj Nordström got free with Ludvig Blomberg in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andreas Valström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute Andreas Valström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludvig Blomberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 82 minutes, Martin Ahlbom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stugun IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Ahlbom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute Martin Ahlbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Bergren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ludvig Blomberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Valström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ludvig Blomberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Valström in the 90th minute of play. Pär Pihlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. If Torgny Pååk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Charlies IF defense, Torgny Pååk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Håkan Bergren. The Charlies IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Håkan Bergren should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Charlies IF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
