Eric Klintæus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerzy Sala having to interfere. In the 21st minute, David Wiklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eric Klintæus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Jerzy Sala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pontus Koch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerzy Sala having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ove Molander during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 33 played minutes Månkarbo IF got a freekick which was hit by Ove Molander. After a defensive mix-up in Fighting Irish Notre Dame's zone, Eric Klintæus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerzy Sala came out of the goal and Eric Klintæus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pontus Koch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jerzy Sala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Klintæus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pontus Koch to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Eric Klintæus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Månkarbo IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Klintæus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustav Vallengren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Bredberg in the 55th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Månkarbo IF defense, Tomas Åkesson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustav Vallengren. The Månkarbo IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustav Vallengren should have stopped the shot. If Eric Klintæus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute, Valter Målare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jerzy Sala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Andersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Jerzy Sala had great luck who in the 71stth minute grab hold of the ball when Pontus Koch from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. If Pontus Koch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Klintæus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerzy Sala having to interfere. After having played for 84 minutes, Eric Klintæus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Månkarbo IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Klintæus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Eric Klintæus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Månkarbo IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Klintæus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerzy Sala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henry Bredberg kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Månkarbo IF's Pontus Koch in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fighting Irish Notre Dame's goalie prevented a goal. Jerzy Sala was out of position in the 98 minute of play, and Eric Klintæus capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eric Klintæus really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1.
