In the 4thth minute of the game Douglas Nilsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Timmershults BOIS's Morgan Eriksson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leif Ekberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the game, Leif Ekberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bernt Ahlroth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Morgan Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Nilsson in the 11th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars Säf got free with Morgan Eriksson in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute, Douglas Nilsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lars Säf who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Morgan Eriksson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ingvar Biörkquist hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Vennerström in the 33rd minute of play forced Södra Sunderbyn's goalkeeper Bernt Ahlroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Douglas Nilsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morgan Eriksson having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Timmershults BOIS got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Biörkquist. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Douglas Nilsson in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Morgan Eriksson saved Timmershults BOIS from getting behind. When Ingvar Vennerström fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Timmershults BOIS's protests and gave Ingvar Vennerström a yellow card for diving instead. Ingvar Vennerström hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. If Douglas Nilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas Nilsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Leif Ekberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Bernt Ahlroth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Douglas Nilsson notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Timmershults BOIS's Morgan Eriksson. Morgan Eriksson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Douglas Nilsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morgan Eriksson having to interfere. When Södra Sunderbyn's Lars Säf in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Timmershults BOIS's goalie prevented a goal. Morgan Eriksson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas Nilsson's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Lars Säf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morgan Eriksson having to interfere. Timmershults BOIS's Morgan Eriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Säf in the 78th minute of play. Douglas Nilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Morgan Eriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Timmershults BOIS's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Säf came free, but Morgan Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Södra Sunderbyn getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Marcus Magnusson hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Leif Ekberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute, Nils-Åke Lekberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcus Magnusson struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Morgan Eriksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Södra Sunderbyn. Morgan Eriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Nilsson in the 90th minute of play. In the 94th match minute, Timmershults BOIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmy Nordström to maneuver through the defense. Södra Sunderbyn walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
