Spectators: 6677 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Samuel Ljungberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. Urban Bäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Blomquist in the 4th minute of play. Tranås IK were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Grönahög's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexander Samuelsson took the corner. In the 7th match minute, Grönahög was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patric Vennerlund to maneuver through the defense. Rune Blomquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emil Ahlroht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Urban Bäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boris Löfkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boris Löfkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Grönahög's Boris Löfkvist got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 24 played minutes Tranås IK got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Rune Gallin. Samuel Ljungberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Ånger having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Tranås IK's goalkeeper Oscar Ånger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Örjan Käller. 29 minutes into the game, Samuel Ljungberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Oscar Ånger. Samuel Ljungberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of Grönahög booed when Tranås IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inge Sjögren didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Örjan Käller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urban Bäck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rune Blomquist went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Rune Blomquist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Emil Ahlroht got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emil Ahlroht sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

56 minutes in the game, Emil Ahlroht dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Örjan Käller struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Oscar Ånger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grönahög. Rune Blomquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Urban Bäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emil Ahlroht in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Urban Bäck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Tranås IK booed when Grönahög was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patric Vennerlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th match minute, Grönahög was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Löfkvist to maneuver through the defense. Emil Ahlroht sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st match minute, Tranås IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Samuelsson to maneuver through the defense. Tranås IK's Oscar Ånger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Ljungberg in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the Tranås IK defense, Samuel Ljungberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Ånger. The Tranås IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Ånger should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Tranås IK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Grönahög throughout the match.
