The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Jan-Olof Strömberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fredric Valström was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Emanuel Björkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Walter Ödman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torbjörn Helström's late challenge caught a Öckerö IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 46 minutes of play, Kungsgården FK's Jan-Olof Strömberg made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fredric Valström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jakob Walmarsson to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Jan-Olof Strömberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kungsgården FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Öckerö IF the free kick. A collision led to Kungsgården FK getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Jan-Olof Strömberg hit a great ball. If Emanuel Björkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fredric Valström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elof Vestberg in the 56th minute of play. Jan-Olof Strömberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fredric Valström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Karl-Ove Sörman's late challenge caught a Öckerö IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Ove Sörman helped the player get up and apologised. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kungsgården FK! In the 68th match minute, Öckerö IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Bröms to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Olof Strömberg got free with Fredric Valström in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elof Vestberg in the 73rd minute of play forced Öckerö IF's goalkeeper Fredric Valström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walter Ödman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakob Walmarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Öckerö IF's Valter Jansson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kungsgården FK. If Emanuel Björkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 92 minutes, Martin Classon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kungsgården FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Classon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Jakob Walmarsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walter Ödman. Kungsgården FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jakob Walmarsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Gunnar Ek's late challenge caught a Kungsgården FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gunnar Ek helped the player get up and apologised. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
