Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Vasastan BK's zone, Konrad Modig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Örjan Nordström came out of the goal and Konrad Modig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Niklas Stenqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Knut Gabrielsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt Lindman, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Esbjörn Deckbergh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Knut Gabrielsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt Lindman in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13thth minute of the game Olof Bammerman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bergsjö's Knut Gabrielsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olof Bammerman in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Knut Gabrielsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the game, Olof Bammerman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Knut Gabrielsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bengt Lindman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olof Bammerman in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Knut Gabrielsson saved Bergsjö from getting behind. Örjan Nordström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Esbjörn Deckbergh in the 29th minute. Bergsjö's Knut Gabrielsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Bammerman in the 39th minute of play. Bengt Lindman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Knut Gabrielsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Vasastan BK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Staffan Fanström's late challenge caught a Vasastan BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Staffan Fanström helped the player get up and apologised. A hard shot by Verner Bogren from long distance, 55 minutes into the match, got Knut Gabrielsson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Olof Bammerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esbjörn Deckbergh in the 62nd minute of play forced Vasastan BK's goalkeeper Örjan Nordström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Konrad Modig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Örjan Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vasastan BK's Verner Bogren got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 73rd minute, Olof Bammerman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Bengt Lindman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Bergsjö's Joel Jernberg got a free kick in the 84th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bengt Lindman got free with Knut Gabrielsson in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Björn Josefsson fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bergsjö's protests and gave Björn Josefsson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vasastan BK booed when Bergsjö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björn Josefsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Olof Bammerman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had been going on for 94 minutes, Vasastan BK's Pål Hedbom got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Knut Gabrielsson. If Olof Bammerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Vasastan BK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bergsjö throughout the match.
