But to his dismay, Douglas Bergström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Douglas Bergström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Douglas Bergström in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Oskar Hjortberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Casper Kinnman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Göran Granberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Vennersten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oskar Hjortberg having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Douglas Bergström could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Oskar Hjortberg however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Vennersten in the 35th minute of play forced Vännäs's goalkeeper Oskar Hjortberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Greger Bjursell struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Göran Granberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vännäs. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel Vennersten made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Freddie Ekström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglas Bergström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Oskar Hjortberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Vännäs's Sigvard Haeger tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Gabriel Vennersten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vännäs's Oskar Hjortberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Bergström in the 71st minute of play. Oskar Hjortberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Vennersten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute Gabriel Vennersten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oskar Hjortberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Greger Bjursell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Granberg having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Douglas Bergström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oskar Hjortberg was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Vännäs's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
