The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Albert Drewitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Sundberg having to interfere. Jävrebyn's Östen Lind got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 21 played minutes, Bens grabbar's Arvid Larsfält shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mattias Asmundsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bens grabbar reached it. Andreas Sundberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Östen Lind in the 24th minute of play. If Östen Lind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andreas Sundberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Östen Lind, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Börje Kielstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Mattias Asmundsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Bens grabbar getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Benjamin Kilström hit a great ball. Andreas Sundberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Östen Lind, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Nils Martinsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Richard Lindström put in a rough tackle. Nils Martinsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Mattias Asmundsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michel Beckström kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Östen Lind got free with Andreas Sundberg in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mattias Asmundsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Börje Kielstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Jävrebyn's zone, Börje Kielstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Asmundsson came out of the goal and Börje Kielstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, Bens grabbar's Börje Kielstedt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mattias Asmundsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Jävrebyn's Östen Lind got a free kick in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Beckström in the 86th minute of play forced Jävrebyn's goalkeeper Mattias Asmundsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Jävrebyn's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Martinsson came free, but Mattias Asmundsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bens grabbar walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
