After a defensive mix-up in Himmelsblå's zone, Patrick Tholsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kennet Kolberg came out of the goal and Patrick Tholsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kennet Kolberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edvin Dahlberg in the 5th minute. Christopher Sikström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Tidén having to interfere. Marcus Utter hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Patrick Tholsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute Håkan Tham suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Filiph Alefors charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filiph Alefors the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th minute, Filiph Alefors hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Himmelsblå's Joar Larsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roger Tidén narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Himmelsblå's Christopher Sikström got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd play minute Edvin Dahlberg came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Kennet Kolberg. 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, Fc Inter's goal looked a bit too open when Christopher Sikström came free, but Roger Tidén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Edvin Dahlberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roger Tidén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christopher Sikström in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Christopher Sikström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Himmelsblå's supporters rose to their feet, but Christopher Sikström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Tidén breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the game, Himmelsblå's Christopher Sikström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roger Tidén made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Marcus Utter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christopher Sikström made a kick off. Roger Tidén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christopher Sikström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 minutes, Bengt-Rune Bjursell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Himmelsblå and the Fc Inter players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Himmelsblå's Bengt-Rune Bjursell got a free kick in the 57th minute. Edvin Dahlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kennet Kolberg having to interfere. When Peter Björklund came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Fc Inter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Björklund couldn't finish the play. After having played for 76 minutes, Christopher Sikström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Himmelsblå's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christopher Sikström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roger Tidén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christopher Sikström in the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Sikström in the 83rd minute of play forced Fc Inter's goalkeeper Roger Tidén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Utter struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Roger Tidén didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Himmelsblå. Roger Tidén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Sikström, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Christopher Sikström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Joar Larsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Christopher Sikström came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Himmelsblå fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christopher Sikström couldn't finish the play.
