Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Benjamin Wallgren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gubbarna från Ekeby's Jörn Fredriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Vollander in the 15th minute of play. If Eric Vollander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Wikander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörn Fredriksson having to interfere. When Myggenäs IK's Robert Wikander in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gubbarna från Ekeby's goalie prevented a goal. Jörn Fredriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Vollander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jörgen Jönsson came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Gubbarna från Ekeby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörgen Jönsson couldn't finish the play. Manfred Strömberg kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Axel Vase came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Benjamin Wallgren could save by the left post. Axel Vase sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gubbarna från Ekeby's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dennis Wallgren in the 39th minute. Calle Karlstedt charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Calle Karlstedt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 40 played minutes Gubbarna från Ekeby got a freekick which was hit by Calle Karlstedt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörgen Jönsson in the 42nd minute of play forced Myggenäs IK's goalkeeper Benjamin Wallgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Wallgren stood somewhat misplaced when Axel Vase came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 44 minute. Jörgen Jönsson struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Benjamin Wallgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gubbarna från Ekeby. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Axel Vase's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Wallgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jörgen Jönsson in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamin Wallgren saved Myggenäs IK from getting behind. Robert Wikander was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Myggenäs IK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Myggenäs IK's Folke Wållander got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Myggenäs IK's goalkeeper Benjamin Wallgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Axel Vase's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Wallgren was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Benjamin Wallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Vase in the 82nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Myggenäs IK defense, Axel Vase kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Wallgren. The Myggenäs IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Wallgren should have stopped the shot. Egon Petersson hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Gubbarna från Ekeby walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
