The supporters of Gustavsberg FF booed when Sjövik IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Ove Wik didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute Eric Uggla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calle Pettersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Gustavsberg FF getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Zebastian Fredriksson hit a great ball. Gustavsberg FF's Calle Pettersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magnus Olenberg in the 26th minute of play. In the 37th minute of the match Charles Busk shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olov Bålström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zebastian Fredriksson to make the kick off. Magnus Olenberg took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Calle Pettersson. Calle Pettersson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 60 minutes into the match, Gustavsberg FF's Zebastian Fredriksson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olov Bålström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 67 minutes, Magnus Olenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sjövik IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magnus Olenberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olov Bålström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stefan Jespersson went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute, Stefan Jespersson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gustavsberg FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 81st match minute, Sjövik IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börje Dahlberg to maneuver through the defense. Olov Bålström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zebastian Fredriksson in the 82nd minute of play. When Eric Uggla came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Sjövik IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Uggla couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Sjövik IFK's Eric Uggla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Calle Pettersson. That made the score 2-2 after 88 minutes of play. Eric Uggla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calle Pettersson having to interfere.
