Isac Wennersten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmund Hjortsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Edmund Hjortsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Isac Wennersten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt Igelström lost his temper 22 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Roy Skröder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksander Askelöf in the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th minute of the match, Joakim Olsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roy Skröder saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Henry Sjögren kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Aleksander Askelöf took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roy Skröder. östra FF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Göran Zachrisson came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the östra FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göran Zachrisson couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kent Bergfeldt was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to The Exploding Boys getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Thomas Siggesson hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Joakim Olsson notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of östra FF's Roy Skröder. Roy Skröder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 56th minute, Kenneth Bäck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roy Skröder was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Haraldsson in the 64th minute of play forced östra FF's goalkeeper Roy Skröder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Sjögren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Isac Wennersten made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Kent Bergfeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. östra FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Kent Bergfeldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isac Wennersten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kent Bergfeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isac Wennersten having to interfere. If Henry Sjögren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes, Pontus Kullander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Exploding Boys and the östra FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, The Exploding Boys's Pontus Kullander got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Henry Sjögren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Isac Wennersten made a huge save. If Kent Bergfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roy Skröder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pontus Kullander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. The Exploding Boys had won after a very even match.
