Spectators: 7150 (Terracing: 5434, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Inge Bergström started the match with the kick off. Burgsvik's Sven-Erik Galle got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Ted Julin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Fredriksberg getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Eskil Karlsson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Erik Galle in the 20th minute of play forced Fredriksberg's goalkeeper Torsten Bure to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Burgsvik's zone, Gustav Månsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Sjöström came out of the goal and Gustav Månsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Burgsvik's goalkeeper Karl Sjöström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustav Månsson. In the 32nd minute Inge Bergström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Bure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Gustav Månsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fredriksberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustav Månsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Eskil Karlsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 40 in the game by Gustav Månsson from a close distance when the talented Karl Sjöström managed to make a qualified save. Burgsvik's players were relieved. Vincent Malmberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torsten Bure read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Sven-Erik Galle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Bure having to interfere. The supporters of Burgsvik booed when Fredriksberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted Julin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Inge Bergström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burgsvik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inge Bergström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lennart Arvidsson was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Vincent Malmberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Sven-Erik Galle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Inge Bergström came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Burgsvik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inge Bergström couldn't finish the play. Sven-Erik Galle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Inge Bergström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Fredriksberg's goalkeeper Torsten Bure had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Erik Galle. The supporters of Burgsvik booed when Fredriksberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Helge Moberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Erik Galle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inge Bergström in the 78th minute of play forced Fredriksberg's goalkeeper Torsten Bure to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torsten Bure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Bergström, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Inge Bergström struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Torsten Bure didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burgsvik. Harry Bohlin kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Karl Sjöström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lennart Arvidsson's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Fredriksberg succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Burgsvik had controlled the match.
