A beautiful save bye Malå's goalie prevented a goal. 11 minutes into the match, Malå's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Ekström came free, but Per Dusett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mats Björkdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th match minute, Malå was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivar Grönlund to maneuver through the defense. Jack Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Dusett having to interfere. A collision led to Malå getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jens-Erik Ekenberg hit a great ball. Ivar Kaxe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaj Sikström having to interfere. Sven Jelm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sven Jelm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jack Ekström to strike the kick off in the second half. Per Dusett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Ekström in the 54th minute of play. Mats Björkdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Dusett having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Jens-Erik Ekenberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malå's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trekanten IFK the free kick. In the 59th minute, Jens-Erik Ekenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mats Björkdal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivar Kaxe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaj Sikström having to interfere. Jack Ekström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Per Dusett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trekanten IFK's Mats Björkdal got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Per Dusett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Ekström in the 84th minute of play. Kaj Sikström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven Jelm in the 85th minute of the match. Malå's Per Dusett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Malå from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes into the game, Jack Ekström recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Per Dusett. Jack Ekström showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. The Trekanten IFK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
