Spectators: 6695 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 0) Mattias Ström made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Vargön IF's zone, Harry Uggla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Åke Ahlerot came out of the goal and Harry Uggla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harry Uggla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Åke Ahlerot having to interfere. Torbjörn Hökkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 played minutes Vargön IF got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Ström. Harry Uggla succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 23rd minute Tim Torsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Rönn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per-Åke Ahlerot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Uggla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mikael Holmgren came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the DIF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Holmgren couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Uggla in the 34th minute of play forced Vargön IF's goalkeeper Per-Åke Ahlerot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. DIF's Karl-Oskar Hellgren got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Torbjörn Hökkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Per-Åke Ahlerot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Harry Uggla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Harry Uggla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Karl-Oskar Hellgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DIF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Oskar Hellgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The long shot by Henrik Hagström in the 52nd minute really tested Per-Åke Ahlerot's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Vargön IF's Per-Åke Ahlerot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Vargön IF from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Harry Uggla got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Helge Ståhlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Åke Ahlerot having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mattias Ström in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nils Rönn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 67 in the game by Harry Uggla from a close distance when the talented Per-Åke Ahlerot managed to make a qualified save. Vargön IF's players were relieved. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Harry Uggla sped through Vargön IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Per-Åke Ahlerot. Harry Uggla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Per-Åke Ahlerot having to make a save. Vargön IF's Per-Åke Ahlerot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Oskar Hellgren in the 77th minute of play. The DIF fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when DIF's Harry Uggla looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Harry Uggla had several of the Vargön IF's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 85 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Per-Åke Ahlerot as he didn't even see the shot coming. Per-Åke Ahlerot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Uggla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harry Uggla's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Per-Åke Ahlerot firmly grabbed it by the left post. Per-Åke Ahlerot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harry Uggla in the 96th minute. DIF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
