Albert Isaksson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Erik Haegg went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 39 minutes, Jörgen Lindholm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lunds BK and the Fail IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lunds BK's Jörgen Lindholm got a free kick in the 39th minute. Jörgen Moberg struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Björn Alebäck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lunds BK. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Fail IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lunds BK:s goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Magnus Fransson made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Fail IF's goalkeeper Björn Alebäck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jörgen Moberg. A hard shot 57 in the game by Jörgen Moberg from a close distance when the talented Björn Alebäck managed to make a qualified save. Fail IF's players were relieved. Fail IF's Sven-Erik Haegg got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Magnus Fransson in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albert Isaksson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fail IF were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Lunds BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Henrik Lundqvist took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Magnus Fransson drilling the ball in to score 4-0 behind Lunds BK's goalkeeper. Fail IF's Björn Alebäck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Fail IF from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Lunds BK booed when Fail IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Villiam Bergfeldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fail IF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lunds BK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
